Questions about Breast Enhancement Surgery

With consideration of any cosmetic surgery, it is normal for questions to arise about the procedure.  With breast augmentation, some common questions include:

What breast size is best for me? During a consultation, Dr. Josh Waltzman will perform a detailed examination and evaluate which breast size might be best to give you the fullness that you want, but still stay true to your body’s proportions. The Waltzman Plastic Surgery takes a great deal of pride in the fact that we are focused on providing natural results.

Silicone or Saline Implants? Dr. Waltzman provides his patients with a variety of options for breast augmentation, including the use of either saline or silicone, smooth or textured, and round or shaped.  Some patients have a preference based on concerns of rupture, or if the patient feels one type would better suit their needs.  Dr. Waltzman will explain the pros and cons of each implant type during your consultation.

What lifestyle preparations do I need to make prior to surgery? Dr. Waltzman encourages patients to eat healthy and balanced diets, to quit smoking, and to limit stress.  Patients are also advised to stop any medication that might increase their bleeding risk 1 week before surgery.

What are the risks associated with breast augmentation surgery? As with any surgical procedure, there are risks involved with breast augmentation.  These include bleeding, infection, changes in nipple sensation, and asymmetry.  Dr. Waltzman will explain all of the risks involved, and make sure that you are a good candidate for the procedure.

These are just a few responses to questions, but all of your inquiries are encouraged when you speak with Dr. Waltzman.  Dr. Waltzman is here to answer all of your questions so you can feel comfortable and confident with the procedure moving forward!
